Description
The octagonal counter-flow cooling system is a core cooling equipment in feed processing production lines, specially designed for high-temperature and high-humidity feed pellets produced by pellet mills.Its core structure consists of an octagonal cooling chamber, an air guide system and a discharge mechanism. It operates on the principle of counter-flow heat exchange plus full-coverage air distribution:Hot pellets at 70–90℃ flow from top to bottom, while cool air penetrates the material layer vertically from the bottom and rises in reverse direction. The cool air first contacts cold pellets and then gradually exchanges heat with hot pellets. The octagonal structure eliminates cooling dead zones, which not only cools pellets to room temperature + 3–5℃, but also reduces moisture content to the safe standard of ≤12.5%, preventing pellets from cracking or molding.
This system is suitable for continuous production in feed plants and shall be installed at the rear section of pellet mills, operating in well-ventilated and spacious workshops. It can work with screening and dust removal equipment, ensuring pellet hardness and storage stability while reducing energy consumption. It is an indispensable supporting equipment in large-scale feed processing.
